exterior view looking down Lafayette - I'm trying to pull the flows of trash circulation on the site into the building (pulling trashy media into the library?, maybe it is a porn library?) - with areas of fast circulation - (i.e. Samantha's daily use of the coffee bar / news feed) vs. slower regions in the library that allow settling, collection, accumulation, also I am interested in the level of access to these differing regions, and how the space can start to allow for exapmple, a visual connection from the entrence into the vip collection, which is accessible only through the special access reading rooms...

Interior view moving south through the more intimate secondary stack / reading towards the open stacks and performance space that is farthest south - above the performance space are the office spaces(2nd image), and special access reading areas, with the vip stacks underground below this. the bridge over Lafayette ties into the circulation on the east side of the street as well as allowing an experience of the library even if you are not physically in it, but driving under it. This could be a secondary performance space combined with various food vendors.
